The Law of Biogenesis
States that life cannot arise from non-life.
Thought: Louis Pasteur's experiment in 1864 proved that life cannot arise from non-life (Organic Evolution). Pasteur's empirical results were summarized in one phrase. "Omne vivum ex vivo", Latin for "all life (is) from life". Pasteur also declared: "La génération spontanée est une chimère", "Spontaneous generation is a dream". So if organic evolution is true you have to believe that the laws of biology were suspended while this event took place.
